But keeping the STEM magnet at Blair (which I don't oppose, actually) will also have that effect even when it's only taking the high-performing students in Region 1. What I think is the most perverse is the placement of the IB and humanities magnets at BCC and Whitman. Whitman especially being the least-central geographically feels like just giving an already well-off school its own local program.[/quote]
