Can someone explain why the FBI hired ARCCA and was investigating at all, and why this isn't allowed to be mentioned?
Anyone?
They FBI got involved with investigating the Sandra Birchmore murder case as they received a creditable tip that a Stoughton police officer murdered her. Many of the same LEO players in the Birchmore case are also involved in the Karen Read case and that led to a separate investigation on police misconduct on this case. FBI hired ARCCA as part of that investigation. It is considered “prejudicial to the Commonwealth” (per Bev) for the jury to know that the FBI opened an investigation on this case.
No, that's not the story. The story is that Karen and her defense team met with Josh Levy, who has a connection both to Yannetti and Bill Read, and behind that also is a bunch of politics between a bunch of egotistical lawyers in the NCDAO and the DOJ but you're probably not interested in that level of detail. It had NOTHING to do with Birchmore, that was a separate investigation entirely. The FBI/DOJ set the rules with keeping all their stuff top secret, and not even the District Court judge was allowed to see most of it. They set the rules about sequestrations and orders insisting that their investigation not be referenced by EITHER party in the CW v. Read. This is not uncommon DOJ antics but there is speculation in Karen's case that it was intended at some level to keep the myth of a conspiracy alive. The FBI/DOJ were investigating for police corruption and/or civil rights violations. After months of investigating they released 3000+ pages to both parties and there was ZERO evidence of police corruption, cover up, or even third party culprit. NONE of the witnesses Karen has pointed fingers at are subjects of FBI/DOJ investigation - their attorneys have all been allowed by DOJ to say this in open court. Recently when Josh Levy got booted back to the private sector and Leah Foley took the helm as USA in MA, she provided letters to every law enforcement agency involved to let them know the investigation was OVER and no indictments forthcoming. It is a dead issue, no matter how much FKR cult bleats otherwise. Karen Read killed John O'Keefe. Hopefully this jury sees the evidence - the only real evidence, not speculation and fabrication and magical thinking - for exactly what it is, beyond any reasonable doubt proof that Karen hit John, knocked him down and killed him as a result.
You have no proof for any of the above. Bill Read isn't some well connected man so your entire premise falls apart from there. Go ahead, prove any of the above. The FBI does not formally make a statement when an investigation is closed. They are letting these people - Devers, Jen McCabe, Kerry Roberts, etc. - perjure themselves. With TACO in charge, who knows what happens, but I can tell you as a Norfolk County taxpayer, the only way they are getting 12 guilty votes on any charge is if they fix the jury. Why can't the CW call the lead investigator? Because he wanted Karen to be guilty and jacked the case up.
Proctor was fired for drinking at lunch on the clock and for sending texts to his friend about an open case. He was cleared by the FBI and the MSP - he did nothing wrong in the investigation of this case. If the FBI had found ANY exculpatory evidence showing third party culprits and clearing Karen they’d have a legal obligation to turn it over the NCDAO now, today, a year ago, etc. They absolutely are NOT allowing her to go on trial TWICE when there is evidence of her innocence. There is no such evidence. Some of you are abysmally ignorant about the basics of our legal system.
Proctor was FIRED by MSP so nope, he wasn’t “cleared”. Formally firing him for a trash investigation opens up the rest of them so they let him go down for the rest of that squad. Chip is trash, his sister will have a large seat down below for calling kids the r-word, and Liz should be running for the hills but she’s too stupid to. FBI doesn’t get their hands dirty on a state murder charge. They wouldn’t act ahead of time to clear Karen. There are bigger fish to be fried - Meatball w his hostage videos, Bev and her Venmo transactions from the McAlberts. I can’t believe there are people in this CW that are are stupid as you portray yourself to be on the internet. Is this the drug addict Loftus who cut me off on 93 last week?
