[/quote] I am the PP who originally asked and I'm interested! Is Karen that powerful to have these kind of connections? I'm in the "probably guilty but there's enough doubt" category but this is basically a woman who clearly drove drunk and may have hit her boyfriend. It's not that interesting except that the boyfriend was a cop. I wouldn't really expect DOJ to look into this unless they were playing up some civil rights race angle, so what was the "hook" to get them involved. Why would they even care about some middle aged, white literal "Karen's" rights being violated, if they even suspected that was the case? I'm sure lots of people have connections that they would try to leverage but how did they actually convince the feds to spend (waste?) money here? And to the point of not just looking at the investigation that was done but hiring these expensive reconstruction analysts? It seems crazy,[/quote]
