Nothing compared to the hundreds of millions that MCPS wasted on a school that didn’t need to be built. Imagine what that money could have done not just for Wootton, but Magruder, Damascus, and everyone else.

MCPS didn't waste money on building the school, and it made sense at the time.  MCPS and the BOE is a hot mess and needs to be held accountable but pitting school against school isn't the way to do it.  And, right now, moving Wootton to a safer school per the wishes of parents and staff makes the most sense and if the population expands, they can then remodel it and reopen it as they have with other schools.  I don't understand why you wouldn't want your child at a safer, healthier school.[/quote]
