The coat is actually quite pretty although the black/dark navy is not appropriate for a celebratory occasion. The hat is a disaster. Can you even wear a hat indoors at a formal event that is blocking people's view indoors? Probably a faux pas. The entire look is also intimidating and unapproachable. Is she deliberatly sending a message? She looks like Kim Jong Un.

My first thought when I saw Ivanka is that [b]she was attempting a poor cosplay as a member of the British Royal Family[/b]. This is clearly a nod to Kate Middleton's impeccable royal dressing. The color is gorgeous and flatters her but the cut makes her look like a bobble head. The hat is unnecessary and unflattering. It looks very costume-y. [/quote]
