There is a collective right for all of us not to have our lives disrupted by the few people who are having a tantrum about wearing a mask - who are also the same people who deliver the goods and services. In that case, yes, their “freedumb” is impinging on our “freedom”.

They need to STFU and get back in their trucks and haul the stuff we need. If they don’t, they need to go to prison and we need to find other people to drive those trucks.

The protesting truck drivers are a small percentage of all truck drivers, and they would not be missed if they quit.  They do far more damage by blockading roads and bridges than they'd do by quitting.  They know this, and that's why they do it.  They're cowards.[/quote]
You keep posting that essential staff is not allowed to quit, that they need to work, that we do not let doctors and nurses walk out of their jobs, and that they should be arrested if they do walk away. That these truckers need to be arrested because their needs to not trump your need to have goods!?
Please tell me what is wrong with you? Cognitive impairment? We absolutely have essential staff quit all the time, go on strikes all the time, particularly in Canada, nurses are on strikes all the time.

PP here - I'm a different poster, and don't think the truckers should get arrested for quitting, unless they're walking out of a contract.  But they should be arrested for being a public nuisance.  In Canada, it was illegal for nurses to strike until 2015, and even now they can't strike like other professions because they're considered essential.  That's what the deal was when they signed up for the job.[/quote]
