You are not a lawyer.  Obviously.  Here is the provision "(3)Other persons
It shall be [b]unlawful for any person to whom any return or return information[/b] (as defined in section 6103(b)) [b]is disclosed in a manner unauthorized by this title[/b] thereafter willfully to print or publish in any manner not provided by law any such return or return information. Any violation of this paragraph shall be a felony punishable by a fine in any amount not exceeding $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution."

It depends upon how and from whom the NYT got it and how that source obtained it.  Highly unlikely that the NYT is criminally liable for anything.  If the person who got it and provided it to the NYT was an authorized recipient, there is no crime.  That person might be civilly liable to Trump and subject to professional sanction and perhaps some other criminal statute.  The NYT MIGHT be subject to penalty if it could be proven that the NYT KNEW IN FACT the received the info from someone who had obtained it feloniously.

Really you are trying to say the NYT stole Trump's tax returns?

Besides the fact no they properly vetted everything. Trump himself campaigned on those tax returns hard. How many times did he tweet and say on National TV "I will release my tax returns" and then followed it up with my tax returns "you won't believe" etc...

Trump is a liar, scammer, con man to the T. He always has been from his Foundation, University and Modeling Agency (where was the conservative outrage then, illegal teen models) All three sanctioned for scamming hard working Americans over 25 million dollars worth.

We have the issue of National Security as well. He owes so much he's so in debt! And his a criminal period.

Trump is a failure, you and your cronies supporting him is ridiculous at this point. We are in this mess because of him.
