Accept that you have no life.
So much time and effort to discredit a youth soccer club... Let's try something...shhhh don't say anything. Oh great youth soccer truth exposer...we bow to your wisdom...you are right and just!! You have won us simple soccer minded plebes over...You win!! You may now rest and leave us. You duty has been fulfilled. ::Fingers crossed:: :P
This threads existence has discredited a soccer club all by itself.
No a-hole, the question was asked if VYS was "Better or Worse" after the change in TDs. Then a-holes like you come and cause trouble. I'm curious if you go around talking like this or you just hide behind the internet?
By the depth of the problem the results of changes won't be felt for several years. The player pool is the biggest issue. Joining VDA may help with some retention and recruiting. It at least is a step towards establishing a player pathway to so called "elite" levels. VYS will need to try and become a destination club versus being just a Vienna based club. The image and results should be geared higher. In the North East VYS would make the perfect Town Club. A club who's only purpose is to get kids playing soccer. But we don't have a "Town Team" model here in NoVA so VYS needs think more regionally and not so hyper local. They need to develop teams that parents can expect to get accepted to showcases like Jeff Cup on a regular basis. Not every kid can play for DA or ECNL but that doesn't mean that they are not good enough to play in college. VYS currently does not offer a stable pathway for those kids. To get into Jeff Cup you need to win games. Winning matters at older ages. Winning at younger ages does not matter for development but it matters to parents who are contemplating staying with or joining VYS.
