She had contemporaneous proof of her claims which, interestingly, the NYT chose not to include in their story.

I don't believe all women. I am a former state prosecutor who almost got burned prosecuting a young man for rape. It was not until late in the case that more evidence came to light showing she was not truthful in her account. So no, I don't automatically believe all women without some verification. And I am not happy about that feeling, but it is what it is. [/quote]
