Yes DM owning NL hurt DeMatha more than it helped, to my knowledge there weren't a lot of NL 2026/27/28 players who were drawn to go to Dematha due to the club/HS connection, and DM being spread between NL/Mojo/Dematha I'm sure didn't help.  I'm sure health and family played a part in him stepping aside but ultimately this is about DM wanting to be able to use HS fields either rent-free/sweetheart deal for his club teams and to be able to create a club/HS pipeline and he wasn't able to do that, so he's leaving.  Interesting that health/family is keeping him from staying at Dematha but not stopping him from trying to join the Bullis staff.  [/quote]
