The surgical mask drop was only statistically significant for those over age 50!  It was 18 case difference (pre-vaccine) of 100K in each arm over an 8 week period.

As for cloth, that was not statistically significant - it was a difference of 2 cases of over 50,000 people in each arm!  Notably, red masks worked better than other cloth masks (and better than surgical!) while purple did nothing.

More importantly, we have vaccines available for those people who want their child's COVID risk below the statistically 0 mortality risk it is unvaccinated. There are masks available for protection.  Vaccines and boosters are available for adults.  There are treatments available too.

And there are costs to masking children for 2+ years. Kids need to see faces. As the PWC lady said, this is all just political theater as Smart Restart says "to show people you care". LOL

There's no amount of evidence that can be shown at this point to get through your religious like beliefs in the magic cloth. It's like Mormons, Joseph Smith and his gold plats, or Scientiologists working up the Bridge to Total Freedom.
