Last 2-3 weeks people saw writing on the wall and couldn’t get everything they needed, or realized they needed more stock because almost all have never been in a similar situation.[/quote] +1 Other reasons: 1) so one can avoid going out unless it’s unavoidable, so you’re not bringing it home to family members who are more vulnerable 2) avoid exposing others at the store if you are potentially an asymptomatic carrier and unaware 3) having some skepticism of the “supply chains are fine” message.[/quote]
