[/quote] Morally you would prefer to steal and/or sell something that is not yours, because it is valuable and you married a loser. Read that sentence a few times and tell me how that makes sense. As someone posted upthread, does the woman have no agency? She somehow had four children (presumably sequentially, not quadruplets) with an abusive husband, and the only way she can imagine supporting herself is by keeping a ring that doesn't belong to her?
