In many many cases those kinds of people (mentally ill, domestic abusers, drunk drivers, dishonorable discharges) can and do get concealed carry permits.  I know so for a fact.  When I got mine in my state several years back, they didn't even ask about most of those criteria.  And I personally know of people like that who got CC permits.[/quote]

How the f'ck was someone allowed to have a concealed weapon and not have to go thru Virginia's tests before this. How could the  republicans in Virginia be so stupid to allow this.
