Well, you have to basically pass an IQ test to get into the military, so that will weed out a lot of the really stupid folks.  It's been estimated based on AFQT scores that the average IQ for enlisted is around 105; or better than 65% of the people in the US.  Enlisted in the military aren't the dregs of society you seem to think they are; they're just average folks (above average actually) that happen to want to serve their country.   [/quote]
