No surprise, really, that the largest cohorts of TJ students would live in the Langley/McLean areas, is there?
It would be, if that were true. But Rocky Run + Carson, which serve the western part of the County send significantly more kids than Longfellow + Kilmer.
Of course, Carson and Rocky Run AAP (133 admits last year) covers 26 ES, three of the county's largest HS, a good chunk of a fourth HS, and part of a fifth HS. Longfellow and Kilmer AAP (104 admits) cover about 16.5 ES, three of the county's smaller HS, and a small part of a fourth HS. That's consistent with the fact that, when FCPS sorts TJ students who live in FC by base HS, Langley and McLean are the top two. But, by all means, treat Carson and Rocky Run as if they are one big mega-school if it makes you feel better.
