I spoke with a DCI parent tonight who is happy with the school. Didn't hear about any fighting.
She probably didn't know about DCI's 52% FARMS rate either. There are lots of things that occur during the school day that parents know nothing about.
FARMS doesn't equal fighting or bad kids, especially at immersion schools. The weird DCI hater is not a feeder parent, or she'd know how devoted of a parent you have to be to send your kid to a DCI feeder. A lot of the FARMS kids are Central American refugees who were middle class or better back home but ended up poor here in DC. They may be poor but are not uneducated. If they were uneducated they could just dump their kid at the local school. But it takes effort to go to DC bilingual or stokes. It takes effort and pride in your heritage to keep them in a school to maintain their language. So DCI hater, being poor doesn't mean you'll automatically be a bad kid. Educate yourself a little.
Stating facts doesn't make one a DCI hater. The FARMS rate is what it is. The fights are a fact, not my imagination. Educate yourself first.
I have not heard about any fighting. Sorry but your "facts" are questionable at best, particularly since you don't and won't send your kids there.
