Then have any email from him diverted into a separate folder (I'd keep it in case it's needed as evidence at some point). Do not respond to his texts (again, I'd preserve them as evidence). Absolutely no contact from the OP in any way, shape, or form. It's okay not to be "nice" all the time. This guy has demonstrated that he doesn't really care about her feelings.
