In 2014, 3200 students took at least 1 IB exam. Assuming the 1.5 million dollar number is right, that's about $470/pupil. FCPS cost per pupil is around $13,500. So, we're looking at less than a 3-4% add on per pupil, generally over only 2 years. Given that many IB kids take more than 1 class, (6 for a diploma) that doesn't seem unreasonable for a special program.
