I've paid, but then I don't to be at the mercy of the airlines and grouchy strangers.  Planes are full of kids in the summer time, you won't be the only family who has to address the issue.  You can't expect the flight staff to rearrange the whole plane, especially in the days of "premium" seats for which people have paid exta.[/quote]
