You lift the seat to pee. Lifting the seat makes the opening bigger, thus making it easier to hit the water, not the toilet seat. If you incidentally splash or hit the rim directly, you can lower the seat and get outta there. You can clean up later. If the next person to use the toilet is a woman, she doesn't sit on pee. How is it possible that an adult hasn't figured out how a toilet works? How can you safely operate a blender or your car? My goodness, compared to a toilet, those things are incredibly complicated.
