Doesn't strike me as bizarre. After checking the school website I think it is pretty bizarre shocking that a high profile murderer is still celebrated as a graduate. These threads are a forum for discussion, and after all you are posting on it. The give away here is the "still [b]celebrated[/b] as a graduate" - really?  Do tell.  Where on the site is George Huguely "celebrated" as a graduate?

What is Landon supposed to do? Pretend that Huguely did not attend the school for four years? remove his accomplishments like a Soviet era photo?

You must be kidding. http://www.landon.net/searchresults.cfm?keywords=huguely&x=0&y=0  The Landon School and the communications office have no issue celebrating Georgie V's lacrosse accolades, or any issue lining up for Galliher & Huguely checks at recent golf outings. As recent as 2009 Georgie IV was one of the lead fundraisers for the schools capital campaign. I'll grant you that was a year prior to junior killing his ex-girlfriend, but honestly, this does not merit some scrubbing out? Landon pretends other kids disciplined with expulsion are removed from all mention for their attendance and their accomplishments were removed. The non lacrosse players selectively expelled from their SAT cheating scandal were humiliated and scrubbed out from record but the ones who participated in the same acts were left be to graduate in good standing. USC removed OJ Simpson's jersey, picture and other articles from display at the school, and same for Reggie Bush. What is Landon supposed to do? Clearly Landon isn't supposed to be listening to anyone who isn't going to help them beat Prep in a lacrosse game.[/quote]

You are wrong about USC and OJ Simpson. His Heisman trophy is still on display and his name is still in the record books, which is what you are complaining about with regard to Huguely the killer.   The other references to Huguely that you linked to are his father.  I gather you believe Landon should disassociate from the Huguely family entirely. I guess Landon doesn't agree - just as Harvard still includes Ted Kazcynski on their class reunion invites. [/quote]
