I am happy to finally be looking my age - because I feel like in my early-mid thirties I actually looked older than I was! Think the "early aging" period is tough for ladies like me - i.e. lanky body, angular face, stronger features - because we start looking a little hollowed out and gaunt earlier. Now that we are heading into our 40's though, some of those with fuller, baby faces are starting to get a little puffy and saggy and dimply and I ... basically look the same. So in other words, think aging gets us all in the end, but the pace and timing might depend on your features, lifestyle, etc. Only people who I might except from this are certain Asians - and I lived in Asia for years for most of my late teens/early adulthood. I'd say most of those I observed aged in a typical manner (perhaps a step better than Westerners b/c of lower average weight) but there was a subcategory of women from about late 20's to 50 who just seemed ageless. Not that that they looked like a 20-something, but more like they looked indefinitely like say, 34, for decades.
I was the curvy T&A type when I was younger - 5'5", 120lbs with boobs/butt. I gained weight in my later 30's and that made me look older. In fact, I'm still overweight but at 48 that extra padding might help a bit with wrinkles. I can't imagine myself ever being 120 pounds again, I would look sick.
