I think what makes a great school is highly subjective. I have not been one to pay any attention to rankings, they mean diddly squat to me personally. My son is applying early to GW, because he fell in love with the school, for many reasons most of which the program he is interested in is one of their higher ranked programs. He is an excellent student with a high GPA and very strong test scores, he could apply to higher ranked schools but felt GW was a good fit and he loves the city. I disagree respectfully that it is not thought of highly across the board...I digress but lets just agree to disagree. Certainly not worth arguing about. Bottom line there is a school out there for everyone.
School reputation is not subjective, sorry. There are probably schools for everyone but not all of them have great reputations. GW IS NOT thought of highly, sorry. You can agree to disagree all you want, but it's a fact.
The only fact is that you don't think highly of GW. Sorry.
No, actually, the fact is a majority of people have no clue what that is, and majority of those who do, think its a mediocre school. Only personally invested minority disagrees. Add that all up, and you get a school that is widely seen as a mediocre school.
