I remember stories of my mom having one pair of sicks, receiving clothes from school secretary- my mom could sew so she always looked amazing, and eating stewed tomatoes.  My dad loves fried bologna but I think that is just because that is a staple he grew up on during WWII.  We always learned proper manners and ettiquite, I include this because I am still bothered by the other thread about class and the nasty, judgmental comments about being lower class, blue collar and poor.[/quote]
