1990s - boycotts of Disney, video games, Ellen DeGeneres when she came out as gay...

2000s - boycotts of the Dixie Chicks, critics of the Iraq war like Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon, attacks on academics critical of US foreign policy and the Iraq war, calls for them to be fired or disciplined

2010s - Calls to boycott and cancel Colin Kaepernick, Nike, Target, Starbucks, Samantha Bee and tons of others...

2020s - Calls to boycott and cancel Bud Light, Disney (again), the NFL, canceling various academics, books and authors...

The right wing are the undisputed Cancel Queens, they've been at it far longer and working at it far harder than the left.

It's the height of cognitive dissonance for the right wing to feign outrage and moral high ground whining about "cancel culture" when they themselves have been the worst offenders in America.[/quote]
