I feel conflicted about this because they literally make millions of dollars by keeping people interested in their lives and selling products (through sponsored ads) based on people trusting that the celeb is being honest and authentic. Even Mindy has so many sponsored posts on Insta.

You have to let that go. Do you really think that Jennifer Garner looks the way she does because of Neutrogena, or because of whatever crappy hair product she sells?

Do you really think Jen Aniston looks like that because of pvolve? These people have so much going on with them behind the scenes that we never know and we just get seduced into thinking of I use this face washer if I use the shampoo… It just doesn’t work like that and it’s not really celebrities fault - we are in a consumer culture and they’re not even necessarily lying that they like the product. But there’s so much more that goes into their skin and hair care routine or fitness or weight management routine that it’s silly for anyone to be persuaded by that.[/quote]

OK? That’s their problem. Unless someone’s peddling a harmful product I don’t see the harm in any celebrity or influencer getting paid to do an endorsement. [/quote]
