Spain reliably cranks out a bunch of schlocky soap opera type stuff (cable girls, the one about the prostitutes, the one about the women in prison, the one about the killer in Barcelona, the one about the church in Barcelona, etc., etc.). 90% of British shows are — some woman or kid got killed or kidnapped and some crotchety detective with a dry sense of humor needs to find the criminal.
