I let my kids stay home in June except for days that seem meaningful...honestly. Nobody cares about attendance overall and if I know they're not learning anymore I'd rather they be reading and playing than sitting in class on FCPS laptops.
Upper ES teacher. Your kid will be missing content if they stay home in June. We have paced out the rest of the year and kids will have new content through June with exception of last three days.
ES teacher here - all new content will be done by the end of April. May/June are SOLs, review and movies.
I call troll here. Benchmark Unit 8 will be finished in June as well as SS/Science. We paced it out and we have everything finishing second week of June. Each Benchmark unit is 15 days if you use no FLEX days. We have no flex days for U7/U8 to just get through the curriculum. So I dunno where you teach that all new content will be done in a few weeks? Literally each quarter has a science unit and SS units. 6th grade teacher here.
