As a Black woman — a real one, not just someone who erroneously claims to represent us on the internet — I get the power of people with little or nothing left to lose.  When I need to feel empowered, I wrap my spirit in the image of my Mom, who signed her ballot voting for Obama for the second time when she was in an actual hospital bed. A hospital bed where she wouldn’t have been admitted as a patient in her young adulthood. My Mom attended racially segregated schools in DC through college, picketed the racially segregated Peoples Drug stores in her youth, and lived long enough to vote for a president who she respected and felt pride in TWICE.  PP, your comments make it clear that you are foolishly trying to represent a powerful group of women that you barely know and clearly don’t understand.
