Yes they can keep voting, paying taxes, and registering their cars in another state but THEY HAVE TO HAVE CURRENT REGISTRATION FOR THE STATE THEY'RE REGISTERED IN. [/quote] You don’t lose domicile in your home state by having expired tags. Yes, they should renew them, but it’s not tax evasion. My home state doesn’t allow even active duty military to renew remotely. We have to drive two days each way to renew. Shoot me, but we’ve gone over expiration by a few months. [/quote]
