Brother hits his GF - Should I be concerned? He’s in his late 20s and has a bit of a short temper. He's been hitting his girlfriend during arguments—slapping, pulling her hair, kicking her, throwing things, or whatever else happens in the heat of the moment. She’s a really nice girl, and I don’t believe she’s violent toward him in any way. From what I can tell and what he says, she’s good to him. I’ve already talked to my brother about it, but he doesn’t think he’s doing anything wrong. He gets defensive when I bring it up and is very stubborn, so he doesn’t listen to anyone’s advice. The thing is, this isn’t the first time he’s been physical in a relationship. He’s done this to past partners as well. I’m worried this could escalate, and I’m not sure how to handle it. What’s the best way to approach something like this without making things worse? I’m concerned about her safety.
Let's switch things up a bit and see if that provides any clarity.
Even then, what can one do? Call the police?
The performative call to the police has already been covered in this thread. He needs to leave if any of this is true and actually happening, unprovoked. They don’t have kids. They aren’t married. She isn’t paying all his bills. She’s not 6’3” 220# w muscles. Whole OP makes zero sense.
