Rutgers has rolling admissions and is ranked identically to UMD overall.
I don’t believe Rutgers has rolling admissions. But I agree with the second point: UMD is so overrated in the DMV area! Btw, Rutgers is the safest school on my son’s list. Its application is also super easy with no supplemental essays. UMD has designed its application like an Ivy League’s with those open handed fill-in-the-blank questions. 🙄
Those fill in the blank questions were thoughtful I thought. Literally there's no right or wrong answer. All your kid had to do was think for a few minutes for each question. No big deal. I disagree that UMD is overrated. I just think some people are pissed that their snowflake didn't get in. Remember it's a holistic process so they look at you beyond your grades and test scores.
My son got in but we still think UMD is overrated. But we’re originally from another state, so we got a different perspective! Don’t get me wrong, I like those open-ended questions just as I like the Yale 35-word questions. But UMD is not in that league. Just saying.
I don't think there's a human alive who is saying or thinks UMD is in the same league as an ivy, lol! Many sought after schools are not.
UMD is an R1 research university. Any R1 will be good. Yale is fine but has Amy Chua on the faculty, along with her creepy husband, and they create weirdos like our VP. Plenty of MAGA elite attended Yale.
Is it possible MAGA aren’t quite as hopelessly stupid as you assume they are?
Who knows? They seem very good at protecting child traffickers. I imagine avoiding the law requires at least a low level of intelligence. Being smart without morals is not helpful to society. Maybe Stephen Miller is smart but he appears to be a sociopath. Therefore, his intelligence is wasted. Same goes for his wife. Same for Ted Cruz. Maybe he is smart because he escapes to Mexico or California during storms in Texas. Funny that he goes to California, which is full of the woke liberal mindset. Which bot farm do you work on?
