Rent = $2000/month Daycare for 2 kids = $3000/month Health/dental ins and costs = $1000/month Food, transportation, utilities, clothing, and literally everything else a family needs to spend money on = $4000/month that is $10,000 a month or $120,000 a year AFTER TAXES so factor in what you need to make total to pay FICA, state and federal taxes on top of that and there is no retirement or college savings built in there, no student loans to pay off...
