Actually there's never been that few murders in the city, but as recently as 2012 there we only 88. But here's the thing. DC homicides are down 31 percent in 2025, true, but they were also down 32 percent in 2024 -- before Trump even took office. The number of homicides in DC was lowest in recent memory during the period from 2011-2014. There were fewer homicides in DC in each of those years than there are this year. By far. So do we credit Obama's policies for that?[/quote]
