The too many mailers gripe is silly—my kid was absolutely inundated by a lot of different schools. At least the pieces from Chicago were interesting and genuinely gave them a sense of the place.

As anyone who has gone through the process recently, you know there’s also a bit of luck involved too. Trying to crack the code on who gets admitted or not (at Chicago or elsewhere) will only make you nuts. [/quote]
