I'm sorry if it sounded like I was trying to describe everyone's experience. That wasn't my intention. I know there are lots of lower income feds but for whatever reason I don't think I personally know any. Most of my less well off friends are in education/childcare with me; the feds I know are mostly my children's friends' parents who do skew richer. I don't think I have any friends who are federal contractors either. My point was really more so that everyone is stressed for different reasons and the shutdown is having broader impacts even beyond the directly affected employees.[/quote]
