Im sorry, but this gaslighting has to stop. Today our leaders stated that political violence "is not a two sided problem", just a leftist one. WHAT? What about the MN assasinations? Gabby? Paul Pelosi? What about J6? Pipebombs at the DNC? Firebombing Shapiro's house? What about Charlottesville? Atlanta? The Pulse attack? Political violence - and indeed societal violence - is a plague on our country, and its from all sides. And cancel culture is alive and well too, it would seem, this time from the Right. I wish people could just be intellectually honest. Emotionally honest. We are all part of the problem and all need to do better. We need leaders to inspire is to be better.
J6? What about FIVE MONTHS in the Summer of 2020 in dozens of cities?
+1 Threads like this are so laughable.
Ah you mean the right wing Boogaloo Bois who turned peaceful protests into arsons and smashed storefronts, assaults on police precincts and cops murdered? YOUR side's violence and false flags?
Your gaslighting is duly noted. We all saw who created the vast majority of violent riots during 2020. Go right ahead and blame the handful of "false flags" - that's merely a drop in the bucket compared to the rioters, looters, and arsonists on the left who created the hellscape that was 2020. We all know how to google.
Most of us who actually marched didn’t see any violence. You’re focusing on the violence and not the overwhelming majority of people who protested — the ones who did so peacefully.
Much like the j6 protests then? Mostly peaceful. In reality the riots of 2020 killed 20+ people and caused a billion+ in property damages. The only person killed on j6 was an unarmed woman shot in the head by police.
If you look at the number of people estimate to have participated in 2020 protests, the casualties, and the damage, and then compare the casualties and damage resulting from Jan 6, on a per capita basis the destruction from the J6 riot outweighs the 2020 protests by an order of magnitude or two. I actually looked up the numbers a few years ago and don't recall the exact numbers, but there was a stark difference.
Yes. Let’s play this game. Compare the numbers of republicans who participated in J6 to the number of democrats who participated in the riots of 2020. There is no comparison. I lost count of the number of riots during that summer.
Yawn... Violence during 2020 were incited by RWNJs among the crowds.
