Yes, it is their school. And to the Sela person who keeps posting----NO. The member charters are not including Sela, have no plans to include Sela, and quite frankly, wouldn't even consider talking to a school THAT HASN'T EVEN OPENED YET!!! Also, the only 3 languages being offered at DCI are Mandarin, French and Spanish. Perhaps Sela and the as-yet-to-even-get-a-charter Arabic language school should model after DCI and do the work to open their own middle/high program.
Wow, you are a bit hostile.
The Sela insertions into every conversation are getting old. It's one thing if it's relevant, but to post "Sela will definitely be in DCI" is ridiculous, both because 1) it's not true, and 2) the school hasn't even opened yet. It's not hostility, it's "wait for the school to open and see how it goes, but stop stating things like this as fact when it's total conjecture or blatantly untrue".
Indeed. Please stop the BS and hijacking, Sela poster, this thread is not about you.
I'm not affiliated with Sela or D.C. Bilingual, etc.. I work for the PCSB, and I suggest you speak with your respective EDs, instead of bitching anonymously. DCI will likely expand to include other schools/languages in the future. Whether or not it will be at WR is an open question, in could be in a neighboring facility. All of the DCI schools have repeatedly stated publicly and to the Board when asked, that they are open to partnering with additional schools.
Amen! I asked Diane about this at LAMB and she said the same thing. Nobody knows what will happen in the future with DCI and they are open to more schools. Hopefully, that means other schools (Creative Minds, etc) will be able to partner up in the future.
