Grace Bay Turks and Caicos has ruined me for other beaches. Just got back, and it's pure white sand, no seaweed or rocks in the ocean, you just sort of wade in and it's crystal clear water. Best beach I've ever been on. We didn't feel unsafe at all.
Grace Bay is lovely no doubt. But the bold is true for many Caribbean beaches. Several in Anguilla. Palm/Eagle beaches in an Aruba, Out islands of the Bahamas, St. John, the BVI are all places I would put up there with Grace Bay.
I've been to many islands, and Eleuthera had the most fantastic beaches of all . . . the finest sand, the clearest water, the most vivid blue hues . . . and they are quiet and uncrowded. French Leave Beach has beautiful pink sand; Ten Bay has calm, clear water that is shallow enough to wade out into for hundreds of yards; Lighthouse Beach, where you can see the Caribbean meet the Atlantic. If you love beaches, go!
