The racists in this thread are proving my point about Maury being a school that is unwelcoming to black families. Racists are real bold online but I can guarantee that they would never any of the stuff they say online to a black person’s face. Keep that same energy in real life.
Can you identify what in this thread has been racist? I also think it's a big leap to think all the posters are from Maury, so I'm not sure why anything in this thread proves any point about Maury families. I am sorry you had a bad experience at Maury, but the fact that you pointed to their reaction to the Miner proposal as "racist" does make me question your judgment in that respect. Miner is a bad school. I would not want my kids to go there. I do not blame Maury parents for objecting to a proposal that would send their kids there. That is not evidence that they are racist.
Miner is a great school. I went to an open house during the spring, and we loved Dr. Broquard. She’s a non-nonsense type of leader who demands accountability. She seems committed to making Miner into a top tier school. I adore her.
She was not Miner's principal when the Maury-Miner merger was proposed.
And to be honest, kind of irrelevant to how I felt about the proposal. Even if both schools are great, I have less than zero interest in splitting my kids between two different elementary schools.
The only reason you and others did not like the proposal is because Miner has black children. You aren’t fooling anyone and you can’t convince me or other black people that there are other reasons. I really wish that you people would say you hate black people with your whole chest instead of hiding online.
I can see why certain statements made by some people in the course of the debate raised questions, but the idea that the only reason someone could possibly oppose the paired school is because they "hate black people" is so ridiculous that I am now fully satisfied that you are trolling, so I will see myself out of the convo.
