Even during the La anti-ICE raids last week, there were death threats and Kill trump signs posted and burned Us flags, many of these acts done by American leftists not immigrants. Protests always attract the fringe and are magnets for extreme language and acts https://www.foxnews.com/us/trump-death-threats-emerge-amid-los-angeles-riots-secret-service-aware.amp
To the PP who posted the video of Israeli soccer fans - these are Israelis. Again, disgusting and inexcusable, but you’re going to see speech like this among actual impacted groups (Israelis and Palestinians alike, although FAR, FAR more common in the Palestinian side). I have never seen a massive crowd of otherwise normal, sane Westerners shout “DEATH TO ___.” This was on the main stage at Glastonbury. The frightening part, and what I’m trying to get across, is that these views are becoming MAINSTREAMED. Yeah, you might see isolated incidents of posters, graffiti, etc. at political PROTESTS, but have you ever seen anything akin to this Glastonbury incident? I have not. These are not “the fringe.” These are just regular concertgoers.
No that is the US media. Israelis chant death to America, death to all Muslims, death to all Christians etc. It is done in Hebrew and not shown in the US. Israelis hate the US. They hate our freedoms.
LOL ok. I’m fluent in Hebrew. I’ve been to Israel many times and lived there for over a year. I consume Israeli media regularly. I have never once encountered anything like what you’re describing. Pasting from another thread because it’s relevant: as an Iranian, I am also in the unique position of having seen the other side of this. My grandma lived with us growing up and only spoke Farsi, so we got middle eastern satellite TV for her. We got a bunch of channels that were broadcast in the Muslim world - Al Manar (the Hezbollah channel), the Arabic version of Al Jazeera, IRIB (the official channel of the Islamic Republic of Iran), a bunch of others. It was NONSTOP, WALL-TO-WALL, HORRIFIC antisemitism. All day, every day. Israelis being portrayed as demons with horns and being set on fire. The Statue of Liberty being blown up, her face melting. Ads for video games where the targets were people with Jewish stars on their backs. Constant tearful tributes to suicide bombers. These are all specific scenes I remember seeing as a kid. And this wasn’t some randoms on the street - these were official TV channels broadcast to huge audiences in the Middle East. Al Manar reaches 50 MILLION people. If you seriously believe that what goes on in Israel is worse…….you’ve been brainwashed, I’m sorry.
You were allowed to live in Israel as an Iranian Muslim or are you Iranian Jewish?
Yes and yes. You are absolutely allowed to live in Israel as an Iranian Muslim, although I only know of one personally (though many Iranian Bahaiis live there after fleeing persecution in Iran). I happen to be an Iranian Jew.
