By the time you get to East Region (not the ID camp but the actual East Region selection), any politiking is out the window as your local state really doesn't have any say in who gets picked...at that point the college coaches choose who they want on their teams for the region. [/quote]

Nope not how it works. At the east region ID camp the coaches who will coach at the east region event select who they want after scouting the games. Many of them are college coaches with zero affiliation to a state ODP program. They simply want the best players- they don’t care what state they are from. You might get to the ID camp due to state politics but you won’t get out of the camp (to the east region team) due to politics …it kind of stops at the ID camp
