Polls mean nothing in terms of how objectively good or bad a President's actions are.

In the words of David Mitchell: "You can't trust people, people listen to Coldplay and voted for the Nazis."

That 47.5% of people who approve of Trump would have and did disapprove of anything Obama did simply because the was black and a Democrat. He could have cured cancer and given every house in America a puppy that crapped gold bars and they'd still disapprove.
