Trump has staked out the popular side of every issue and relentlessly drives it home nonstop. The Dems are losing voters and becoming a refined group of unmarried women, LBGTQ and white marxists. Trump has stolen a lot of formerly democrat issues and kept the popular Republican ones.
And yet Trump LOST in 2020 to a 77 year old unfit guy who had a history of nothing but immediate failures when seeking the POTUS office back when he had adequate fitness for the job. Trump then followed that up by not even being able to obtain at least 400 electoral votes or 50% of the popular vote against a last minute replacement candidate who happened to be the VP of the same unpopular sitting POTUS she replaced. Trump remains on the popular side of some issues but his 2020 and 2024 political recipe isn't a recipe for success by any means. His 2016 political recipe of campaigning relentlessly in swing states while telling swing voters anything and everything they want to hear was a recipe for success.
