Do you mean a medically advised and peer tested reason for a c section? Or “just because” you feel like having a c section, anesthesia epidural team, surgical team, etc.

Guess what? In Canada and the UK under NHS you don’t even get a obgyn when in labor and delivery. You get one midwife helping many women at the same time.

If there’s a complication good luck. Hope the surgeon is close by or in the building. 
That’s why every employer in London also offers private health insurance in addition to NHs employee and employer paycheck payments. They use it for L&D and any other intensive surgery or treatment to avoid wait lists and lack of options. And thus hire less people and pay them less- since benefit costs are too high.

WTF are you talking about?! I’m living in the U.S. What does having a baby in the UK system have to do with anything we are discussing? What the UK has for a medical system has zero bearing on this discussion of the U.S. healthcare system. We have problems here.[/quote]
