As long as the Dems kick out all the moderates they will win. No more Schumer or other Vichy democrats. The “moderates” are the reason we are here. If the Dems push the same old moderates out it shows they want the status quo. No more hiring behind senate rules like the filibuster. Law and order need to be aggressively reestablished. Trump, his family, maga, corrupt judiciary, DOJ, etc must be punished.
As a dem, I do not support this. Enough with extremes. This county will go bipolar if we keep swinging far right and far left, it’s a terrible terrible idea. What we need is moderates on both sides.
lol you live is a fantasy world. There are no moderates on the Republican side. Disarming and throwing yourself on the none existent mercy of maga is a fools game. That is what you do when you vote for moderates. Remember how the democrats controlled the senate but were unable to even investigate SCOTUS’s corruption? That was moderates in action. For democracy to work both sides must believe in it. The republicans do not believe in it. So go vote for Schumer, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, etc. you will be putting the nail in your own coffin. The moderate Biden approach failed. The country needs fighter not appeasers.
Amen!!! Moderates are not the answer!!! Biden was a moderate but was still painted as a socialist by republicans. Harris was a prosecutor, for gods sakes. Hardly a crazy liberal. And identity politics should not be the focus (so no, ‘oh it has to be a man from X YZ!’ It can’t be this person because they’re blah blah). It does not matter. We need to pick a charismatic leader who is an economic progressive. Doesn’t matter what they look like or where they’re from. I’ll remind that Trump is an old silver spoon Ivy educated failed business man from NYC who is twice divorced and married to an immigrant.
When the next candidate who has POTUS level leadership skills and charisma steps up, it indeed won't matter where they're from or what they look like. It also won't matter if they are initially labeled a moderate or progressive because elites leaders don't let silly identity labels define them or their agenda. This discussion will be much more relevant in 2027 when our next round of POTUS candidates begin their campaigns.
True, the only type that historically wins for Dems is charismatic and visionary (JFK, Bill Clinton, Obama). Excluding Biden because 2020 was an odd year.
