Most people have co-pays and deductibles. It’s easy to spend $400-500+ at the ER when you are getting a CT SCAN and/or MRI. Most insurance policies don’t have a $0 ER copay. Why does OP need to pick up the bill when concussions are brain injuries and serious and she has to live with that. Even mild concussions have short and long term health implications, and OP’s concussion was moderate. [/quote]

My goodness. Accidents happen. Most of us wouldn't have gone to the ER for something like this. What do you expect the family to do? Pay OPs wages for a few weeks? JFC[/quote]
