I always laugh when people talk about “antifa” as a boogeyman. My husband is antifa, at least to the extent that it was originally a semi-organized movement with an email list, pre-protest trainings, and planned counter-protests whenever white supremacist groups came to DC. He’s a 50-year-old clean-cut lawyer who’s usually decked out in business casual — a totally regular DC yuppie, just with a more active commitment than most people toward standing up visibly against fascism in all its forms. (In other words, no, PP could not identify the antifa even if they WERE in the same room.)[/quote]
