I do not care about first and second family member travel. It’s always happened and it should be diplomatic.  I do care about her going at all in this specific case, and certainly while dragging a kid, to a country that is telling he not to come because it’s “highly aggressive”. That is not diplomacy. She shouldn’t go. And since there will be strong Anti-American protests in Greenland, she shouldn’t take the kid. That’s just decent parenting.

Absolutely. But the NSA is there is part to visit the US military base, which means Greenland can’t really say no. But calling it highly aggressive and condemning them from coming is pretty d**amn close. And will backfire. If we get Greenland, it’s through diplomacy. Does anyone think we want a land war above the Arctic circle? If they do, it’s because they have never actually been that far North for more than a cruise stop a a pretty day. [/quote]
